Have you ever asked yourself the question?

Do I have the makings of an entrepreneur?

Some would say that in these globally turbulent times, this is the best time. Others would say that working for a company offers stability, benefits and more. But what is it really?

Right now, some students will be completing and graduating from university in areas of expertise that require them to make choices, join the ranks of entrepreneurship, or do like everyone else and settle down as an employee.

Whether you choose one or the other of these two worlds, tell yourself that the choice is yours and that you can always change your mind along the way. There isn’t just one way to get to your destination, believe me, I've lived it.

Entrepreneurship itself is a very secret world as if this lifestyle were for a well-heeled minority. Think again! If you surround yourself with the right speakers, it is possible to start your business on the right foot with a short, medium, and long-term view of it. Of course, it takes money to make money, and if this is the path you decide to take, it will require investing monetarily, but also planning long hours of hard work and relentlessness.

To surround yourself well, among your stakeholders, you should think of:

  • An accountant or tax specialist
  • A lawyer or notary
  • Real Estate Agent
  • Commercial Mortgage Broker
  • Graphist
  • Technological Specialist
  • Marketing Manager
  • Suppliers of products, machinery, or services
  • And more.

All this is to properly prepare both your marketing and your daily work. Beginning with:

  • A great business plan
  • Well-crafted contracts with your business partners, employees, and suppliers
  • Hire the right people, to create the right team
  • Make the right decisions regarding the financing, purchase, or rental of your place of business, equipment, machinery, rolling stock, inventory
  • Brand creation
  • Easy-to-manage accounting to access data quickly if the financing requirement is eventually necessary for:

There are challenges everywhere all the time when making the decision to start your business. These challenges will be different, however. Since you are creating something from scratch, each step should be thought through before it's implemented. It doesn't matter which successful entrepreneur you just had a flash of Lise Watier, Bill Gates, Oprah, or Elon Musk, they've all been at the same turning point you are at right now and had to make decisions, in order to reinvent the mold!

The entrepreneur is a creator and innovator with a desire to succeed, push boundaries and prosper for himself and others.

Don't reject your desire to discover this universe for fear of the challenges that may befall you. Rather, look at this as an opportunity to take on challenges and who knows, will you find yourself enjoying every step of the way of being an entrepreneur!
